What to Expect with Cataract Surgery?

Before  Cataract surgery:

We will perform a complete eye examination to determine whether cataract surgery is right for you. Your surgeon will measure your eye to determine the proper focusing power for your intraocular lens (IOL). We will review what lens options are a good fit for your eye and goals for surgery. Also, you will be asked about any medicines you take.

You will be prescribed eye-drop medicines for your surgery. These medicines help prevent infection and reduce swelling during and after surgery.
